TIP #1: Adhere to a smooth surface

Textured paint, brick, and cracked trim won't let the adhesvie work properly. Avoid seams and surfaces with heavy textures.

TIP #2: Apply to silver side only on window plate

only apply to the silver side of the window plate, not the painted side.

TIP #3: Keep adhesive completely on the smooth surface

The adhesive needs to sit fully on the frame — trim it lengthwise if your window is too narrow, since any part hanging off weakens the hold. The metal plate itself is fine hanging over slightly; it's only the adhesive that needs full contact.

A good fit if you prefer a screw-in plate over adhesive, or if your frame is too narrow and don't have a smooth surface for the removable adhesive to grip.

Want a more permanent hold than the removable plate? VHB tape is our heavy-duty option — also a good fit for surfaces with slight texture that need a bit more grip.
